THE REAL TEST OF FITNESS ISN'T IN THE GYM

Jennifer Hunter • August 8, 2026

Yesterday, a member pulled me aside and asked if I had a minute to talk. Of course, I said yes. She told me she had to share something with me.

She and her family recently moved here from California and bought a home on a small farm. She told me that day after day, she was out there with a sledgehammer, carrying debris, loading trucks, climbing and crawling in all kinds of conditions. And she was keeping up with — or outpacing — everyone else doing the work alongside her.

She looked at me and said: "I never could have done this before I started training here."

That is the real test of fitness.

Not the Leaderboard — Life

We track our workouts. We log our times. We celebrate PRs. And those things matter — they're markers of progress. But the real measure of fitness isn't what you do inside these four walls. It's what you're able to do outside of them.

Can you carry your groceries without struggle? Can you keep up with your kids or grandkids at the park? Can you help a friend move without being laid up for a week? Can you take on a physical challenge that life throws at you — and not just survive it, but show up and perform?

That's What We're Building

Not just athletes. People who are ready for whatever life asks of them. Thank you to the member who shared this story. It's why we do what we do. And it's why we'll keep doing it.
